MoonCandy is a live soulful house ensemble that features the inspirational voices & composition of some of the East Bay’s most understated jazz, soul, blues and gospel Singers. MoonCandy is a church without walls... soulful, uplifting and fabulous!
The Honey Whiskey Trio explores harmony in folk, bluegrass and any melody that catches the ear. Through their powerful, yet sweet harmonies, body percussion, haunting melodies and vitality on stage, Honey Whiskey Trio captivates and moves audiences. These storytellers in song found their roots in vocal jazz, all singing in Pacific Standard Time, CSU Long Beach’s award winning vocal jazz ensemble, though at different times. This foundation in jazz gives Honey Whiskey Trio an inherent flexibility to their sound, allowing them to change and adjust their tone to best fit the mood of each song.
Jazz Mafia is celebrating 17 years as the Bay’s premiere Future Music collective and is unveiling one of its newest and most dangerous projects to date; The 35 member Choral Syndicate. This mammoth ensemble is led by Jazz Mafia founder Adam Theis along with one of his main collaborators, Trance Thompson (Crossroads Collective). The Syndicate features such a vast lineup of bandleaders, solo artists and tastemakers, that referring to it as a “Supergroup” would be an understatement. Giving you “Chills down your neck” as well stimulation for your mind: that’s what Jazz Mafia’s Choral Syndicate is about to do
